If you prefer to take a drink every now and then, keep your money at home if you plan to do your consuming in a betting house. I’m serious. clean out your handbag, your wallet, and keep all money, debit cards and cheques at home. Take whatever cash you are planning to use on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket coins you intend to lose and leave the remainder behind.
Pessimistic? Not really. Realistic more like. You may well discover a win after a drunken evening out with your buddies and be fortunate enough to hit a marathon roll at a hot craps table. Hang on to that account because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and wager. The 2 simply don’t mix.
Keeping your money at home is a little dramatic, however defensive measures for drastic behavior is relative and necessary. If you play to win, then don’t consume alcohol and gamble. If you can afford to toss away your money without a worry, then drink all the no cost alcohol your stomach can hold, but do not take bank cards and chequebooks to throw into the combination of chasing losses once your drunk as a skunk brain squanders all the cash!
